Wedding and Event Information
We can comfortably accommodate small events only - 55 persons maximum. The spaces available includes the great room, dining room and bathroom in the main house, and the side courtyard and front yard areas outside. Parking is located behind the main house and along the driveway. It is suggested that additional cars be parked on Elm or Highland streets.
We welcome children under 12, but require a babysitter be hired by the Inn, and paid for by renter, whenever more than 4 children are present.
Facilities Fee and Security Deposits
The rental fee is $1,800. It is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of booking. The damage deposit of $500 is due 10 days before the event. It will be refunded 10 days after the event if no damage has occurred and all clean-up has been carried out satisfactorily. The renter agrees to pay for any damages done to the public space and the premises and to repair the Inn property to its original condition. The Inn will not assume responsibility for damages or any loss of property of the renters, renter's guests, or subcontractors, during, before, and after the event.
Food Service, Liquor, Rentals
It is important to select a licensed caterer with the appropriate liability insurance as soon as possible. In order to obtain the Inn's approval, provide a copy of the caterer's contract to Innkeepers. All liquor and beverages must be supplied and served by caterers with an off premises license. Innkeepers reserve the right to close down the bar, or to ask that any guest who in their opinion has consumed too much liquor, not be served.
Please inform the Innkeepers of all rental companies, including tables, chairs, linen, serveware, etc. (Frequently the caterer can supply all that is needed.)

Music
We will be happy to suggest musicians and to work with you to make the best selection based on the length and type of your wedding. We require that a copy of the musician's contract be sent to us.
We will work with musicians you have chosen to make sure their electrical needs are met. All music must end by 10:00 p.m. out of consideration for our neighbors.
Flowers
We will be happy to suggest floral options available to you. You will need to consider table and/or house flowers, anything you may want for the ceremony, bar or gift table, as well as all wedding party flowers.
Lodging
There are 4 guest rooms available at the Inn. All rooms must be booked for a minimum of one night. Some parties prefer to use the downstairs bedroom on the day of the event for preparations.
Other
Because of its historical significance, smoking is not allowed in the main house. You are welcome to use votive candles only.
All decorations must be removed at the conclusion of the event unless other arrangements have been made with the Innkeepers. Any rice or confetti needs to be cleaned up after its use or a clean-up fee will be charged. We encourage bird seed be thrown instead, and only in outside areas.
We are happy to assist you with coordination of all the events on your special day. |
